March is a month of contradictions for me this year. On one hand, I received the exciting news that I shared in my previous post. You can read more about it here. On the other hand, not only is Made in Bradford on Avon closing down, but I'll also be out of action for a few weeks following surgery. Let me take you through the highs and lows of what’s happening.
First, the good news. I'm thrilled to announce that I have an article published in the Journal of the International Feltmakers Association! Additionally, my website has been redesigned, and I invite you all to explore its fresh new look and updates.
Here is the News Update for Valerian Fibres - some of the key events I’ll be participating in later in the year
Event | Date | Location |
Stall at BoA Green Man Festival | Saturday, 10th May | Bradford-on-Avon |
Weekend Exhibition at West Barn | 17th - 18th May | West Barn, Bradford-on-Avon |
Exhibition at Trowbridge Museum | From 7th June | Trowbridge Museum |
Now, for the less exciting part. Unfortunately, the gallery Made in Bradford on Avon is very sadly closing on 31st March 2025. I have been a part of Made in BoA for five years, and it’s been an incredible journey to be involved with such a wonderful community of artists and creators. In the run-up to the closure, I have a display of all my work available at the gallery. It's a bittersweet moment, but I hope you’ll come by to see my creations and celebrate the gallery’s final chapter.
Additionally, I will be undergoing surgery soon and will need some time to recover. Thanks for your patience during this time and I'll definitely be looking forward to starting felting again as soon I'm ready.
